10. Hot Showers or Bubble Baths
Some find that a relaxing shower or bath at night can help to calm the nerves. This is actually something that can cause your body to warm up and prevent you from sleeping as well as you can. The body needs to be cool in order to drift off into a peaceful slumber, which is why you should avoid taking any hot baths or showers too close to your bedtime. If you shower at night currently, try and do so at least an hour before going to bed so that your body has time to relax, cool, and prepare for bed.
